MSNBC released an article on a study done in London on people who benefit from Interval Training.
It is proven that if you exercise at a high intensity level for four minutes with a three minute rest you can reach your goals faster. You only have to exercise for 45 minutes instead of 60 minutes or more with the same results.
"Using interval training, Nicholls got into top shape last year in about six weeks, using weekly 45-minute sessions. He estimates the same level would have taken about three months via regular training."
There are some days that I push myself to work harder, but there are other days that I have to push myself to even get on the treadmill or elliptical. I am going to try it out next week. Hopefully it will not only help me get into shape faster, but help me lose weight faster (I think I said that I would try this type of workout last time I posted an article on Interval Training. Oh well).
