Help My Computer Is Making Me Fat!

I have been listening to advise on how to get a job since I am currently unemployed. I can't believe how much you have to keep up with. You have to have a Twitter page, a FaceBook page, be on LinkedIn, a blog, and a web page.

How in the world are you suppose to have a life if you are constantly working on the computer keeping up with your "favs" and updating your information so that you can get a job. My butt is tired of sitting in the chair and my carpel tunnel is getting worse from all the typing. And I wonder why I am not able to lose the weight like I want.

I sit at the computer 12 to 14 hours or more a day working on projects, doing school work, and looking for a job. No wonder I had such a hard time mowing my yard the other day. I don't do anything physical but type all day.

Is that another reason society is getting bigger by the day. We sit in front of a computer all day then sit in front of the TV all night. Unless you are a farmer or construction worker, you really don't get a lot of physical activity. I would not be surprised that we will soon be seeing commercials that tell us not only to limit the children and our TV time, but computer time, cell phone time, and texting time.

It is sad that you have to schedule outside time these days. You almost have to force people to outside. Maybe we should design homes with a habit trail in them to force us to get some exercise. The people who live the healthiest and longest are people who are physically active all their lives.

After this weekend I will have 3 major projects finished. I will not be locked to my computer so much and will have a chance to get off my butt and outside for some fresh air. I still have some web sites to build, but I will be able to take a few minutes every couple of hours to go for a walk or something.

How much time are you spending on the computer? Do you need to force yourself to get out and experience the world with out a computer? It might just be the reason you are not reaching your weight loss goals.
