Dr. Oz on Anti-Aging

Dr. Oz has put together a check list for you to help you stay young on the outside and in.

On the top of the list is blue berries, then broccoli, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes. These all have plenty of vitamins and antioxidants to keep your body strong.

Try switching from coffee to green tea. Green tea or white tea has healing properties. Dr. Oz recommends you drink 4 cups of tea a day.

Dr. Oz does recommend a glass of wine. For women though, you may want to check out yesterdays post and MSNBC on the new study stating that alcohol can increase the risk of cancer in women.

Use spices to enhance the flavor of your foods. Cinnamon can lower blood sugar and lower cholesterol.

Eating foods high in fiber to increase your intestinal health. Fruits, vegetables, and whole grain foods will help your intestines stay healthy.

Omega fat found in fish and olive oil are good fats that the body uses to build muscle and keep your brain functioning.

Exercising and keeping your body moving will help you stay young.

Dr. Oz also suggests meditation to help with stress and calm your mind and relax your body.

Get plenty of sleep. I have posted articles here that shows getting enough sleep will help you lose weight.

Get enough Sunshine which may be hard during the winter months. Try taking a supplement or buy milk and orange juice that is fortified with vitamin D.

For more details you can go to Oprah.com. Dr. Oz has a list of vitamins he recommend we all take.
